Business Development Representative

SpendLab specializes in helping organizations optimize their spending and recover overpayments. They typically employ advanced analytics and auditing techniques to identify areas where organizations might be overspending or where they have been charged incorrectly. Once they've identified these areas, they work with their clients to recover any overpayments and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences of such errors. Their services often involve examining invoices, contracts, and procurement processes to uncover discrepancies and inefficiencies. Overall, SpendLab aims to help businesses improve their financial health by maximizing cost savings and ensuring accurate spending.

What do we expect from you?

Let’s not complicate the role right? As an BDR you will need to be able to do the following:

  • Generate New Sales Opportunities: Creative outbound work via SalesLoft, LinkedIn and Cold Calling – not one way works, we believe in creativity and that every individual is different.
  • Consultative Qualification: Quality over Quantity we want a healthy pipeline vs any meeting because you pushed a prospect to say yes.
  • Industry Research: The ability to source meetings yourself by doing research and finding the right Ideal Customer Profile.
  • CRM Management: Make sure SalesForce is up to date and you are on top of your tasks and to do lists.


What you need to succeed?

  • You are interested in B2B SaaS sales and (preferably) already have some experience in the DACH region, so that you’re familiar with the market and its dynamics.
  • 2/3 years of experience in Sales, it can be sales development, recruitment or any other type of sales.
  • You have English skills on a business level, German skills on business level would be a pre 
  • You have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. You excel at asking good questions to gain an in-depth understanding of the customer's needs.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. You are self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently.
  • You have a good understanding of technology and different sales tools, including SalesLoft & SalesForce.
  • You are willing to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to constantly improve processes and communication workflows.
  • Willingness to learn and challenge yourself every day to grow in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an team.
  • Active listening skills, able to start and manage a lively conversation with excellent communication and presentation skills.
